Shannon

As a radio disc jockey, my job is to entertain my audience with songs that make them feel good. I take great pleasure in playing the hits to a crowd that appreciates the value of uplifting music, but it’s more than just that. My passion for feel-good music extends beyond the walls of the radio station. When I’m at home in the San Francisco Bay Area, I spend countless hours playing my own instruments, crafting my own versions of the tunes we all know and love. 

Join me weekdays starting at 10am eastern and I’ll share my story of how my love for music has shaped my life as a radio disc jockey and as a musician through the greatest hits of my life and yours.

Growing up in the Chicago area, I go by the name my grandpa used to call me – Antone.

I have always dreamed about entertaining people. My mother introduced me to music early on, and I used to perform songs, act out scenes from movies, and had mock radio shows in my room for family and friends. After I graduated high school, I jumped on the airwaves at the age of 18 in Chicago!

  • Favorite artists: The Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, The Goo Goo Dolls, and anything from the 90s!
  • Favorite movies: Goodfellas, The Dark Knight, Shawshank Redemption and any movie from Quentin Tarantino.
  • Free time activities: Giving back to the community and volunteering, going to Bears games, concerts, and antiquing. Being with family and friends is a must. I’m just getting into cooking. Chili cook off anyone?
  • Biggest fears: Polka dancing and bees.
  • Favorite smells: Bonfires in the fall, pumpkin candles, and Coffee!!
  • Favorite foods: Anything Italian and Tacos!!

Originally from New York, my TV/radio career took me to numerous tadio/TV stations from New York to Florida. My television career includes working with Dick Clark, where I was the announcer for numerous game shows on network and cable TV. NBC & The Family Channel, “Let’s Make a Deal”, “Family Secrets”, and “That’s My Dog”.

I’ve had the opportunity to work in front of the camera as well. I was Creator, Executive Producer and co-host for ‘Cincinnality’ in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

I was the weatherman at the ABC News affiliate in Cincinnati WCPO Channel 9, also WKMG Local 6 in Orlando, Florida. I have also represented several companies as a spokesperson and worked in the video production area for many years as owner, Executive Producer, Shooter, and Editor.

So great to be back on-the-air as a DJ on KEWL.fm.

Hi! My name’s Ian Gardner and I’m a British-American broadcaster that grew up in the suburbs of London, UK, and now live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my wife, daughter, and chihuahua dog named Raskel.

I discovered radio when I was studying for my degree, and soon spent more time at the student radio station than the lecture hall.

I enjoy playing snooker (it’s like pool with a bigger table) and owning all kinds of electronic gadgets!

I’m excited to bring my British accent to Kewl.fm.

Alexa

Make sure your Alexa-enabled device is connected to your home wifi network and open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet and sign in to your Amazon account.

Go to the “Skills & Games” menu in the Alexa app and search for “Live365.”

Select the Live365 skill and tap “Enable” to add it to your Alexa account.

Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and tap on the “More” icon (three horizontal lines) at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Tap on “Routines” from the list of options.

Tap the “+” icon in the top right corner to create a new routine and name it and hit next.

Under “When this happens,” choose “Voice” and enter the phrase “Play KEWL dot fm,” then press next.

Under “Add action,” tap on “Custom.”

Enter the command “launch live365 and play K E W L” Note the spaces between the letters.

Tap “Save” in the top right corner to save the routine.

Note 1: When you say the command, you can expect a few seconds of silence before the app starts.

Note 2: You can also add additional programming to play on different devices, such as adding the playback is with Sonos.

I am an only child and military brat born on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, but grew up in South Texas and I now live on a farmette in Pennsylvania. And I am a streak runner. No, not that kind of streaker like the Ray Stevens song. I run at least 1 mile a day EVERY DAY and recently celebrated my 8 Year Streakaversary.

I love music and collect all kinds of musical instruments from a banjo to a balalaika (Google it). The good news is that I have just enough talent to screech out a tune on most of them.

I love radio just as much. I used to love listening Kasey Kasem and Wolfman Jack (okay,am I showing my age?). Sometimes I’d record my favorite songs from their shows and then re-record them with me as DJ using two tape recorders. From primitive beginnings to KEWL.fm Internet Radio! I think it’s destiny. How Kewl is that?

Tom

I started using a microphone at the tender age of 5. Even back then, I wanted to be a DJ. Eventually, I did it! I got a job as a DJ on my favorite FM radio station at the time! I loved it, and did it for several years.

After a while, I moved on from radio into the corporate world, and started my voiceover business as a side hustle. But throughout all that time and ever since, I’ve never stopped loving being a DJ.

And now, after a 22 year radio hiatus, I’m back at it on KEWL, and I couldn’t be happier! I hope you’ll join me so we can listen to some great music together, and have some fun!

Dave Moss

Oh, how I’ve missed this!!! I was on the air many years ago and then went into a business career, but there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t miss radio. Now I’m back, bigger (age will do that) and better than ever.

My wife Sharon and I have four adult kids and one dog, although we are doggie grandparents to 4 others. Life is good – even expecting our first (human) grandchild soon.

And yes, I still love to rock ‘n roll with the best of them and just love all the talent out there now, both pop and country.

Hi I’m Steph!

Funny story, I was such a shy kid…barely talked to anyone, and now here I am, having chosen radio as a career path.  Crazy how life works!

I love music, fitness, playing guitar, hiking, hanging with my dog and traveling. I’ve been a personal trainer for the last decade, I’m a wedding and event DJ and I do a podcast as well.

I can’t wait to chat it up with you all!

Double I

Double I (as in ii- the letter I). I was born and raised in Nigeria, have been in the United States for over 25 years, and studied radio and television at an HBCU college.

I love being outdoors, spending time with my family, and enjoy serving at my local church community in production.

Fun fact- Double i is shortened for my real name which is twenty-seven letters long.

I started in radio many years ago right out of high school.  I immediately fell in love with being an on-air deejay — it truly is the BEST “job” ever.  Though I eventually started a technology consulting business, I always knew that I’d return to my first love.  I’m back in the radio saddle, playing all kinds of music including modern country, the classics, and current pop hits.  I’m even hosting a Dance Party. What a dream for me!  As far as my personal life, I have a great partner and we love traveling together. I am bilingual now — what a gift.  Me encanta hablar español cuando pueda.  

My biggest passion is music, and I hope I can share it with you every chance I get.
