Antone

Growing up in the Chicago area, I go by the name my grandpa used to call me – Antone.

I have always dreamed about entertaining people. My mother introduced me to music early on, and I used to perform songs, act out scenes from movies, and had mock radio shows in my room for family and friends. After I graduated high school, I jumped on the airwaves at the age of 18 in Chicago!

Double I

Double I (as in ii- the letter I). I was born and raised in Nigeria, have been in the United States for over 25 years, and studied radio and television at an HBCU college.

I love being outdoors, spending time with my family, and enjoy serving at my local church community in production.

Fun fact- Double i is shortened for my real name which is twenty-seven letters long.

Stick around KEWL.fm and you may just get to know the real name behind Double I.

Jeff Randolph

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, went to college in Chicago, and still live in the Chicago suburbs. I have been here my whole life, I just moved south to north.

I like spending time with my wife and our kids, but mostly I enjoy music of all genres and have a personal goal of attending at least one live show a month.

I’m always open to trying new cuisine. I podcast and have a strong interest in pro wrestling. I welcome the opportunity to get a long walk in too. Glad to now be part of KEWL.fm.

Steph

Hi I’m Steph!

Funny story, I was such a shy kid…barely talked to anyone, and now here I am, having chosen radio as a career path.  Crazy how life works!

I love music, fitness, playing guitar, hiking, hanging with my dog and traveling. I’ve been a personal trainer for the last decade, I’m a wedding and event DJ and I do a podcast as well.

I can’t wait to chat it up with you all!

Ian

Hi! My name’s Ian Gardner and I’m a British-American broadcaster that grew up in the suburbs of London, UK, and now live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my wife, daughter, and chihuahua dog named Raskel.

I discovered radio when I was studying for my degree, and soon spent more time at the student radio station than the lecture hall.

I enjoy playing snooker (it’s like pool with a bigger table) and owning all kinds of electronic gadgets!

I’m excited to bring my British accent to Kewl.fm.

A I

Hi, I’m AI, no not artificial intelligence. I’m Alex, but I go by AI.

I’ve worked in broadcasting for years, starting my career with the legendary Larry King in Los Angeles.

I am a high anglophile, which means I have admiration or partiality for England, English ways, or things English, and I just love traveling to London.

One of my best stories is having a memorable blunder as a Wheel of Fortune contestant that went viral and made the NY Post. I  said “Miniature Goat” instead of “Miniature Golf.” Really???

I also have a bachelor’s in journalism and an MBA from USC, and lots of stories to tell when you listen.

Reena Friedman Watts

I’m a kind and gracious firecracker.

I started bird-dogging stories for The Jerry Springer show and never looked back. I’m hooked on telling the stories of outsiders.

I tell the stories that no one else will tell and can’t wait to talk about this on KEWL.fm.

You can also join me on my podcast, Better Call Daddy, on your favorite platform. The people are real, and their stories are amazing.

See ya soon on KEWL.fm

Dave Moss

Oh, how I’ve missed this!!! I was on the air many years ago and then went into a business career, but there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t miss radio. Now I’m back, bigger (age will do that) and better than ever.

My wife Sharon and I have four adult kids and one dog, although we are doggie grandparents to 4 others. Life is good – even expecting our first (human) grandchild soon.

And yes, I still love to rock ‘n roll with the best of them and just love all the talent out there now, both pop and country.

Sharon

I am an only child and military brat born on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, but grew up in South Texas and I now live on a farmette in Pennsylvania. And I am a streak runner. No, not that kind of streaker like the Ray Stevens song. I run at least 1 mile a day EVERY DAY and recently celebrated my 8 Year Streakaversary.

I love music and collect all kinds of musical instruments from a banjo to a balalaika (Google it). The good news is that I have just enough talent to screech out a tune on most of them.

I love radio just as much. I used to love listening Kasey Kasem and Wolfman Jack (okay,am I showing my age?). Sometimes I’d record my favorite songs from their shows and then re-record them with me as DJ using two tape recorders. From primitive beginnings to KEWL.fm Internet Radio! I think it’s destiny. How Kewl is that?

Katie Vasquez

Hi I’m Katie, a native New Yorker where I still live.

As soon as I could start talking, I didn’t stop, or at least that’s what my family tells me.

I like meeting new people and telling stories which inspired me to pursue a path in journalism. In college, I was part of the campus TV station, had a radio show with my friend Sam, and had my own style column in the campus newspaper.

After several years working professionally in local TV news, I decided to try something different and forge a path into radio.

I love all kinds of music and can dish about celebrity news all day so this was a perfect fit.

When I am off-air,  I enjoy trying new foods, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, running, and watching “The Golden Girls.

Steve Gold

I started in radio many years ago right out of high school.  I immediately fell in love with being an on-air deejay — it truly is the BEST “job” ever.  Though I eventually started a technology consulting business, I always knew that I’d return to my first love.  I’m back in the radio saddle, playing all kinds of music including modern country, the classics, and current pop hits.  I’m even hosting a Dance Party. What a dream for me!  As far as my personal life, I have a great partner and we love traveling together. I am bilingual now — what a gift.  Me encanta hablar español cuando pueda.

My biggest passion is music, and I hope I can share it with you every chance I get.
