Olivia Rodrigo Cheers on USC at UCLA Football Game: ‘Fight On!’ – Billboard

Olivia Rodrigo may not be spending her early 20s in higher education, but she’s still getting the college experience. The young singer-songwriter was USC’s guest of honor over the weekend at the southern California university’s game against UCLA, where she passionately cheered on the Trojans and sported full cardinal red and gold gear.

Rodrigo, who once took a poetry class at USC (and turned one of her assignments into a song on Guts, “Lacy”), posted a few game day photos on her Instagram Story, posing on the football field with red and gold war paint on her face. Sporting a Trojans sweatshirt, she also snapped a picture on the sidelines with her best friend Iris Apatow, who reportedly attends USC.

The “Vampire” singer also filmed a quick TikTok for the USC Athletics page, flashing a peace sign as she yelled over the roaring crowd at The Coliseum in Los Angeles: “Hey what’s up? I’m Olivia Rodrigo, I’m at the SC, UCLA game! Fight on whoooo!”

In spite of all Rodrigo’s hype, USC ended up losing to UCLA 38-20. Still, the Grammy winner seems to have had a good time at the game, even sharing a video on her Story of USC’s pep band playing “Good 4 U” in the stands.

The 20-year-old singer-actress’ time amongst USC football fans came just a few days after she attended the premiere of Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, to which she contributed an original song titled “Can’t Catch Me Now.” On the red carpet, she posed for pictures with members of the film’s cast, including Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer and Tom Blyth.
