Veeze Channels Detroit with StockX Sneaker Collection


Throughout history, the city of Detroit has acted as a breeding ground for culture, churning out some of the most important names in music. As a crucial hub for jazz, hip hop, rock and roll, R&B, and techno, Detroit has had the rare opportunity to witness the full evolution of American music in real time. As a result of this geographical melting pot of sounds, the city has been a massive asset in helping some of the most renowned rappers find their voice. 

Among this lengthy roster of legendary artists is Veeze, a 29-year-old rapper from the West Side. Born and raised on the city’s Seven Mile Road, Veeze often pays homage to his city’s eclectic aura, within his music and fashion. “I try to be unorthodox, go left field and do something nobody else is doing,” Veeze tells Rolling Stone, in an interview. “That’s just my thing.” This unconventional approach to songwriting, singing and rapping has generated him a cult-like following, strong notoriety amongst rap connoisseurs, and a spot on Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of 2023

In fact, Veeze’s distinct originality has proven itself to be a common theme throughout the artist’s overall aesthetic. Whether he’s creating new tracks in the studio or prepping an outfit for his next show, his authenticity consistently shines through, making him one of the rawest voices in the genre. “Every individual should have their own style,” Veeze tells Rolling Stone, “They should feel comfortable.”
